Health inequity is a common occurrence in between urban and rural communities. The poor and less privileged people living in rural communities usually have poor access to quality healthcare. The personnel and equipment required to provide standard healthcare are usually lacking. This is the motivation behind our going to rural communities with qualified medical personnel (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, dentists, psychologists) and equipment to provide free medical care to the rural populace. Taking healthcare to the doorsteps of people who cannot access it is one major step to reducing health disparities. This project is a weeklong medical intervention program that will focus on preventive and curative means of health care delivery with a special focus on the women and children under 5 years.
